The Carousel Horse had been in my mind for about 8 months. I carved this about 2 weeks ago and on Sunday I got to print it. I was using my child’s My Little Pony as a reference. It was fun to do. This was one of the times where I changed to design after I started cutting. The saddle and neck sash was not supposed to be mostly covered in ink. But the detail was too small for my tools. The whole thing was almost too small for the block. After I got the drawing done, I took it to FedEx to enlarge in a copying machine. I’m quite proud of myself, I used most of the block.
